Pros

I made great friends and we bonded over the misery of working there.

Cons

I was hired as an AMT (Account Manager Trainee) in January. We were paid around $14/hr, plus 7.5 hours of OT, with the promise that after completion of the program in May, we would receive a 2k bump and become salaried, $100 monthly cell phone allowance and $400 monthly car allowance (both untaxed). Midway through the program, senior leadership decided to end it and implement a recruiting training program where you had to hit certain milestones to be promoted to Account Manager. Based on the average employee’s performance, this would take around 8-12 months. Not only did they screw us over financially, it also took senior leadership another month to present said milestones, and even then there were many unanswered questions, such as what our job titles were. If that doesn’t scream “we don’t care about our employees,” I don’t know what does. We were set up for failure from the beginning. For most of my time there, we weren’t treated as recruiters or AMTs, we were “sourcers”; meaning we submitted candidates to jobs where we had no relationship with the hiring manager and therefore would never get feedback or see commission from it. By the time I quit in April, nearly half of the AMTs who began in January had quit, and nearly half of the Charlotte office had quit or were fired. Management will lie about why employees leave the company in order to create the perception that the miserable culture is due to employees’ performance, rather than upper management’s complete lack of empathy for their employees. The culture is “churn and burn”; senior leadership explicitly tells hardworking employees to leave if they are unhappy. Management also hires their friends rather than qualified employees. If you’re set on going into staffing, know that turnover is inevitable. High turnover is not. Other staffing firms will pay you a base of 40k instead of 35k without making false promises. The positive ratings on Glassdoor are driven partially by consultants, but mostly by senior leadership asking employees to write positive reviews.

We are sorry that DIVERSANT did not work out for you. As a firm competing in a very competitive field, we have to make change based on feedback from our employees and leadership team. We have found that our employees are more successful when they learn the business from the ground up. This allows our team members to really understand the business and to develop relationships that will support them once they are promoted to the sales role. We have several employees who started as recruiters and are now in sales and are doing very well. Also, please know that we do not ask employees to write positive reviews. Of course, we do ask for reviews as all companies do. However, what the employees write, much like you have here, is solely to their discretion. If there's anything more that we can do to assist you, please reach out to us directly at HR@diversant.com.

Pros

My American dream started when I got a job offer through Diversant. It is undoubtedly the best consultancy in the United States. This company helped me during my toughest period when I was looking for my first job after completing my masters. I would especially like to thanks Brianna Srgo whom I think is the best recruiter I ever met(though we never met face to face lol). They helped me getting my H1b in a first go and they know the difficulties international students have to face during that phase. They fully supported me and were always open to any questions I have to ask for. Again, Brianna came out to be the star performer for this company and made it sure that for specific questions relating to immigration, taxes, etc there are always right people available to answer them. Unlike other companies, they never let me off the hook even when I was not working with them and fully supported me and guided me with all the doubts I was having. The company has a fantastic immigration team led by Shanda and I would like to thank her too for helping me out for various visa relating questions. It was a privilege to work with such a nice company with everything organized. I look forward to working with you guys in the future again. You guys are the best.

Cons

Not at all. They are the best
