Pros

The organization has seen great success over the last 2 years. Luckily, I was able to come onboard before the pandemic hit. I started out as an SDR and then got promoted to MDR. The SDR is fun when in the office but can be draining virtually. Most of the management on the SDR is senior and has great experience to help you become a better sales person. On the MDR side, a good portion of the management team has never closed a deal themselves and you are left to learn on your own. Pros: Great benefits Very welcoming culture Great exposure for your resume If you got in earlier great RSU package

Cons

Again with the growth there is a lot of hiring and in the sales roles this means almost no movement outside of a sales roles. DocuSign is a sales company, probably 80% of our staff is in sales. When Docu was growing the pay was okay for their market but now the pay is not competitive. Cons: Inexperienced management team Changing territories Your success is dependant on someone else Low pay

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It's good to hear that you enjoy the benefits, culture and equity package. Also, congrats on the promotion to SDR. That is interesting feedback about MDR management and deal closing. Can you please share that with the enablement team? It is harder to apply sales skills to other areas of the company but I'd recommend you sign up for DocuSign Connections and choose mentors in the areas where you'd like to work to find out more about what skills are needed and then get certified in some areas via LinkedIn Learning and also tap that Education Assistance budget. This is a great time to do remote learning. Good luck!

Pros

Seriously, it's all about luck with your manager and territory. If you land a good one, the money can really flow. Honestly, you don't even need to deep dive into the details. Just hope for the best and you might strike gold. It's a real gamble sometimes, but that's how it goes.

Cons

Seriously, these sales quotas feel designed for us to fall flat on our faces. It's wild how management sometimes pushes us towards tactics that feel a little sketch. And don't even get me started on selling IAM; it's a real uphill battle. Honestly, the leadership here just isn't cutting it. It's frustrating to feel like you're set up for failure and not getting the support you need.
