Pros

I don’t have a good reason to work for Dollar Tree. They lie to you about your hours a pay . Then expect you to open at store in Nashville on a Saturday an run it the entire day alone. While they give the other manager mon thru Fri 7:30 to 4:30 weekends off. I ask for help but the other manager wanted to brag about the weekend off knowing the whole store had been fired but 2 management 3 cashiers. It’s called team worked so for others as u would want others to do for you . This manager just wanted to have an altercation at all cost. When u go to ur Distrisct manager and they treat u as u don’t exists an my personal life didn’t matter . It was close every night I worked an a double on Saturday or ? So yes that’s exactly what I did I quit I refuse to help a company that doesn’t have enough respect or empathy for there employees a that’s everyone not just your favorite employees. Management positions aren’t supposed to be used in those way yet they still are an it’s so sad . I tried to take all the nesessessery steps An it was as if I had said absolutely nothing.

Cons

They do not care about you ! When you say I’m not working another double alone finally the 3rd Saturday I was scheduled after I worked 13 hours alone the Saturday before . Then to make things even better after doing me like that for 2 Saturdays I also ask to split up the closing between me an the other manager. O but no they could not do that either an I even ask the District Manager !

Pros

My coworkers are kind and honest. The work is fun when it can be and some of the customers have a good spirit. When it comes to your break, you can at least afford your snacks/meals cause they're cheap. I find it fun to look into what my customers are buying. Managers are great and modest about their greatness. Would recommend to a friend because there are worser places to work at.

Cons

Some people have been consistently calling out in my area and I am burnt out from people who don't show up when they're scheduled to. If you're a cashier, you only get a ten minute break and it's not enough time for ramen. You'll feel lucky when you get 30 minutes for covering someone else's shift. Corporate is dramatic with some of their rules, like it's considered theft if you don't pay for your food, but you require a manager to be present in order to pay for it, and managers can be busy at times. Some customers can be quite impatient whilst making the line longer with demands, especially if they don't calculate their finances whilst shopping. Some of the technology is old and when it's broken down, I am told that I am not allowed to put "out of order" signs up. Some customers don't understand that they should never pay with a $100 bill early in the morning at any store. If you want to volunteer and do extra work without a payroll, you will be told that you can get written up for it because they have to pay you. The trainings on workday are obvious that they're old by many years and have not been updated to match new policies.
