Pros
--Dropbox is constantly changing, open to adapting to new good ideas and changing course to keep on a winning track. I've worked a lot of places where senior leaders want you to sit down, shut up, and do your job - that's exactly the opposite of things here. There are so many opportunities to step up and help make things better. --I consistently find my co-workers to be unbelievably smart, incredibly driven, and entirely dedicated to company success over the long term. Everyone 'gets it' across the whole company, from sales to recruiting to engineering. It makes it fun to problem solve as a team. --We're working on some incredibly tough, highly motivating problems. Few companies deal with the amount of data and global footprint we manage and seek to expand on a daily basis. It's an exciting, big challenge, and invigorating every day. --The culture and company morale are outstanding, buoyed by a great team combined with delightful daily experiences like the Tuck Shop or awesome new Dropbox swag. It always feels like people are happy and excited to be here, and that sentiment is highly infectious.
Cons
--The constant change can be unnerving for some people, especially the change on the constantly reorganizing business / sales side. I enjoy reconfiguring as needed so we can best tackle the challenges ahead, but this can also lead to many feeling we lack of stability in daily processes or job responsibilities. Some people find the change overwhelming at times. --Dropbox is incredibly generous with benefits and equity, but a bit cheaper when it comes to annual salaries. It's still big-risk, big-reward over here, which does keep us all invested in winning big in the long term.
