Pros

- Supportive, Collaborative Staff: Colleagues are helpful, smart, and genuinely willing to lend a hand. Cross-functional collaboration is supported and people really respect each other’s expertise and time to get the job done to a high standard. - Managers balance autonomy with guidance: they set clear goals, then trust you to own the execution and manage risks/mitigations. Feedback loops are frequent and actionable. - Robust Perks & Benefits: Dropbox offers flexibility through virtual first and provides home-office stipend, plus health insurance and pension contributions. The options to volunteer for worthy causes in your locality are a welcome addition, as are the many ERGs. - Variety of Challenging Projects: I love the scope to work on diverse cross-functional project teams and objectives across orgs and the company. There are multiple ways to have a big impact.

Cons

- Strategic Changes: Frequent changes to strategy and priorities, albeit many in response to careful analysis of metrics and need for iterations. - Tech layoffs in 2025: Dropbox is not immune to the current trend of layoffs within the tech industry

Great Workplace and Company Culture

Pros

Dropbox has been and incredible company to work with. Through the years working here, Dropbox goes above and beyond for the employee experience. Many factors are taken into consideration when making decisions and the company embraces core collaboration hours in part of our Virtual First strategy. In part of my journey here, there are many opportunities to shine and get recognition. Dropbox hires talented and ambitious employees and embrace our company values across the board. As an AI first company along with Virtual First, there are continued opportunities to grow and adapt.

Cons

With every company there are challenges. Dropbox does a great job with keeping the client and employees top of mind. Some areas of improvement could be keeping consistent procedures with cross functional teams. There are shifting changes periodically and from a tenure employee standpoint, it's sometimes difficult to align with other team strategies which can cause some rework and restructure.

-Really extensive benefits -Excellent work life balance -Truly a remote workplace, but we are able to have off sites to get to know your team and projects better -They try to stand behind their diversity and inclusion efforts by investing company budget and time in the employee resource groups

Cons

-Career paths are not fleshed out as well as they could be
