Pros

Personally, I've felt very cared for at Dropbox. In a sea of companies that make questionable decisions, I feel like DBX tries to do the right thing for their employees and their customers. Inclusive environment, safe and supportive environment for women, and a lot of opportunity for growth if you are willing to pursue it.

Cons

Location strategy is focusing on lower cost regions of the country, for current bay area employees it adds a level of concern for how this will longterm impact the folks who reside in the more costly regions.

You are spot on- we do try to do the right thing for our employees and customers! This is at the heart of our location strategy as well. Our first DEI commitments is to "hire a diverse team", and since launching our Virtual First remote work strategy in October 2020, we've seen a 2.4x increase in gender diverse applicants per role and 2.8x increase of URM diverse applicants per role. This strategy is not to take anything away from our Bay Area folks, but to remove any barriers for others to work at Dropbox!

Pros

Benefits: - Personal wellbeing allowance - Annual performance bonus - Equity - Internet & cell phone reimbursement

Cons

Very little room for growth. No real sense of job security due to the constant layoffs. Execs chase the latest and greatest trends, only to abandon projects halfway through. There’s no real sense of leadership or direction—where’s the company headed? What’s the actual goal of [xyz] project?
