Health board violations abound, completely unorganized, I spiritually checked out of this place weeks ago and don't care - Baker Dunkin' Employee Review

Pros

Having some kind of a routine and a regular paycheck Free sweet tea Nonstop entertainment Some friendly coworkers I think are decent human beings

Cons

I've been here five weeks. I don't care anymore. I feel like an airline pilot slumped over at the controls on prescription painkillers, yet I haven't crashed yet, and I'm just coasting right into the sun and going out with a spectacular flash. I just show up on time and that's it. The amount of work expected of one person for so little money is what keeps the people moving in and out the door. Dunkin Donuts wants to pay as few people as possible as little as possible to do as much as possible in as little time as possible. The employees are all apathetic as can be, including myself. I feel like an unfair amount of work is placed upon my shoulders, and I don't think it should be up to me to do everything in eight hours. When the bakery manager or his little partner comes in, they always want to make a fuss about how we didn't do enough. They'd rather just go out to their cars and smoke weed instead of doing anything. The owners are nice I guess, but the bakery manager is obnoxious and his equally irritating henchman tries to buddy up to us and make it seem like he's on our side. I see through your lies, homie. Management and the owners want us to pick up doughnuts that fall on the floor and serve them to people. The way they thaw out bagels to save time (the hot water method, a dirty bucket) is a health code violation I'm sure. We don't use clean towels to wipe the tables down, just these worn out brown rags that sit in gray water. People don't always use gloves and I found a long curly beard hair in the powdered sugar we use to cover doughnuts. It's disgusting. Don't eat here and get the word out that this place will surely give you hepatitis c if you aren't careful. If they fire me, it's cool, I'll just call the health board on them. I'm sure they'd love to hear the unspeakably gross stories I could regale them with.
