Pros
I had a job and was not homeless. Nothing about my experience working for this company was enjoyable or positive.
Cons
It probably depends on where you work and for which franchise owner. Mine was not the best. The owner I worked for did not heat her stores which were located partially outside and it got cold in the winter time because we had to have the doors always open. It was sometimes 33-34 degrees in the store. I could see my breath. The company seemed surprised that sick days went up during winter time. I never received a break in the almost 3.0 years I worked there. Long shifts: I worked multiple times from 06:00 to 22:00 (sixteen hour days with no overtime benefits) without anyone saying even thank you. The franchise I worked at was chaotic. We would run out of cups, boxes, coffee, and lids a lot. Then we would sell Dunkin' Donuts in generic cups because the delivery came late. We were selling 6er boxes in Donut bags because we didn't have boxes in stock. Stress with the customers (as a customer I would also be angry if I got a half a dozen box in a bag in the summer and then the Donuts came out all mushed together). Working with really unprofessional people that were not motivated and frustrated. Constantly understaffed. I would try to explain to my managers the supply and demand theory and that another employee making $8.00 an hour would not hurt the bottom line as long as the person contributed more than $8.00 per hour to the bottom line. This went on deaf ears. No one understood basic economical principles.
