Pros

It's a great brand to put on your resume. Coworkers are fantastic people.

Cons

NO COMMUNICATION. Everything is secret. Managers are imbeciles. No chance at promotion if you are American.

Thank you for your feedback about what you liked and did not like about Dyson. You are spot on that open and upfront communication is important. And it is an area that we are always trying to improve. So here is some of our progress: 1. Regular town hall style meetings - which openly talk about our performance and our internal goals. 2. Each department meets weekly to discuss issues, open projects and planning. 3. We also recognize that communication is improved when the teams interact outside of the office, so this year we have enjoyed more downtime outside work. You also made a point about empowering managers. As part of developing our leadership we are investing in a training program called Leading Leaders. The intent is to ensure that we are creating the right space for our teams to be creative, be accountable and take responsibility. Thank you again for your feedback. We will continue to challenge ourselves to improve. Best wishes for your future endeavors.

Pros

- If your team/manager is great, that makes a huge difference - opportunity to take on huge responsibilities early in your career - camaraderie among coworkers - Some of the benefits are okay (health insurance, parental leave)

Cons

- Poor leadership with no real direction, at both the national and global level - Constant layoffs - Pay is not market rate (and they let you know that) - Everything is outsourced (designs, customer service, finance, etc.) - Dyson has become a market chaser rather than a market leader - Inflexible in-office policy (5 days, little exception) - Bonuses haven’t been paid in full in years Company is in a tail spin freefall. Jump ship while you can.
