Pros

A brand forged by innovative individuals, outstanding products, and a visionary leader represents an excellent opportunity to enhance your resume. Engaging with such a brand allows you to be associated with the creators of a remarkable success story—a brand that consistently surpasses growth expectations.

Cons

Dyson has evolved into a company where its history of success is not cherished and analyzed but rather disparaged, which undermines the sustained growth for which Dyson was once renowned. The frequent changes in leadership have fostered a culture where the appreciation of past achievements is overshadowed by a lack of respect for the principles that contributed to Dyson's prominence. New leadership often opts to dismiss previous insights in favor of introducing changes and impressive PowerPoint presentations. Consequently, the organization tends to celebrate those who excel in meetings rather than those who effectively execute plans. While Dyson remains an attractive name to enhance a resume, reflecting a legacy of innovation, it no longer offers the practical experience of success that candidates might expect from its reputation. The era when one could gain valuable lessons from Dyson's success seems, for the time being, to be behind us.

Pros

- If your team/manager is great, that makes a huge difference - opportunity to take on huge responsibilities early in your career - camaraderie among coworkers - Some of the benefits are okay (health insurance, parental leave)

Cons

- Poor leadership with no real direction, at both the national and global level - Constant layoffs - Pay is not market rate (and they let you know that) - Everything is outsourced (designs, customer service, finance, etc.) - Dyson has become a market chaser rather than a market leader - Inflexible in-office policy (5 days, little exception) - Bonuses haven’t been paid in full in years Company is in a tail spin freefall. Jump ship while you can.
