Pros

Great recreational events Team is willing to help out when able Supportive coworkers Work is repetitive, can also be a con but allows for mastery When needed, all hands on deck will be called to assist with deadlines, this is helpful when you have a quick deadline.

Cons

Poor management resource allocation- too many projects being handled by one person resulting in details being missed, late deliveries, etc. Lack of trust until you prove yourself and even then it can be more than a year before that happens. Very strict to budget and any time clocked over the allotted will result in stern chats from upper management. Drafters will complain that they do not get paid enough and engineers will be looked at as the enemy. High stress, cut throat environment. Don't expect raises past 2-3% if you are doing a good job. This job gave me pretty bad stress/anxiety up until I had enough and left.

Pros

Flexible working hours and location - come into the office 1 day/wk or less Chicago office has a gym and nice building

Cons

I was told that I would be a Project Engineer, but management decided to downgrade my role to Design Engineer I without informing me. I was given only positive feedback, only to find out when leaving that I was not meeting expectations. No formal performance review process from HR. Pay is below industry standard. Had several HR complaints about team members becoming angry when trying to learn new concepts, sending inappropriate messages, and not providing the training they promised. If you want a role in a stable industry that does not offer much in terms of social interactions or career growth, this is a reasonable role. If you want to achieve more, feel valued, and feel comfortable in the workplace, look elsewhere.
