Pros

Flexible working hours and location - come into the office 1 day/wk or less Chicago office has a gym and nice building

Cons

I was told that I would be a Project Engineer, but management decided to downgrade my role to Design Engineer I without informing me. I was given only positive feedback, only to find out when leaving that I was not meeting expectations. No formal performance review process from HR. Pay is below industry standard. Had several HR complaints about team members becoming angry when trying to learn new concepts, sending inappropriate messages, and not providing the training they promised. If you want a role in a stable industry that does not offer much in terms of social interactions or career growth, this is a reasonable role. If you want to achieve more, feel valued, and feel comfortable in the workplace, look elsewhere.

Pros

Program leaders and senior management do put out the effort to keep working coming in, and keeping billability up.

Cons

All eggs are in Xcel's basket. Low compensation. Lowest compensation out of all Entrust's competitors. Just got acquired by Leidos, uncertainty throughout the company. 1-3% raises annually. Additional raises and promotions are few and far between, only when convenient for management. Hard to survive in Denver while receiving a salary from Entrust. They say paid lunch 1x a month in office. I've maybe received 3 lunches over 14 months.
