Pros

You'll get the opportunity to learn a lot at ERM. You'll work with clients of so many different industries. Just about everybody I worked with was helpful and so knowledgeable. The networking opportunities are incredible. As much negative as I have to say about the company, I don't know if I would've gotten half the experience and connections that I did had I worked elsewhere

Cons

Billable hours. I can't stress enough how terrible this can make your experience. There were so many projects I got to take part of but they were so poorly budgeted that I couldn't work on them nearly as much as I wanted to. On top of that, you'll find yourself begging people that you may or may not know for work that you're uninterested in to help meet your billable goals. Your line manager can have a drastic impact on your experience. My first line manager of 2+ years was incredible and helped me get plugged into a lot of work. My second line manager was the polar opposite. The pay is horrendous for the amount of work you do. Bonuses are very small and they never really tell you how they're determined, salary increases are marginal year to year. Promotions are hard to come by. They'll talk you up and down about how much they care about mental health but do nothing to help reduce the stress. Project managers will make you bend over backwards to meet client deadlines. No overtime pay. Lots of cool projects available but unless you have an inside connection to them or have direct experience, it's unlikely you'll get to work on them. Work/life balance can get pretty bad depending on how many projects you're working on. 60-70 hour work weeks aren't all that uncommon.

Pros

Cool projects. Diversity of work

Cons

Basically every 15 minutes need to be billed to a client. If not you will be penalized even if they say you’re doing great.
