Pros

Interesting projects (if you're lucky enough to get on one). Some brilliant and passionate people, but who more often than not unfortunately burn out.

Cons

ERM hides behind their 'sustainability' branding to act like any large corporation whose only interest is constant, unsustainable growth. They just want to be another big 4 consulting firm. They push people into senior roles without proper support or mentorship. Non-sensical hierarchy structure that make people feel like they are advancing in the company, but with no real material or beneficial value. No investment in people leaders - some of the most unsafe and harmful people in leadership positions pushing billable hours. Performance metrics are often wildly unattainable and heavily focused on sales/billable hours. Culture of fear and focus on profit makes project work suffer.

Pros

Cool projects. Diversity of work

Cons

Basically every 15 minutes need to be billed to a client. If not you will be penalized even if they say you’re doing great.
