Great people, lack of communication between London and SLC - Anonymous employee Edge by Ascential Employee Review

Senior Leadership in London is out of touch with the needs of the team in SLC. Several high performing individuals were not promoted or appreciated. They would take months and months on internal salary negotiations. Personally tried getting a promotion for 6 months and kept being told “waiting on senior leadership to approve”. Applied for a different role in the company to got a verbal offer. After 2 months of hassling about timeframe and details I found out they were no longer filling the role. I really think they are working to fix these issues, but haven’t seen anything in my time. Morale is low because people know there are other jobs out there in SLC. Ended up finding another role outside the company because I felt stuck and nobody in the SLC office could help, and nobody in London took us seriously. They “promote” based on years of experience outside the company rather than personal value to company. Some people do not work and nothing happens to them. The Unlimited sick days became a problem when everyone else on my team would be sick at least once a week. Once again London didn’t do anything about it, and the “sick” employees workloads got pushed on those who would actually show up for work. If you are looking for a job in which you mindlessly work and just want a paycheck, Edge is the place to be.
