Pros
Edge was committed to hiring people who may not have a tech background. I think this made for an interesting and dynamic team. There remained a start-up like feel to the company even though it was past that phase. Company was generous with time off and holidays. I was allowed to move to part-time to accommodate my schedule. Supervisor met with me every two weeks for a one-on-one. Pay was fair.
Cons
Toxic "diversity" culture where certain demographic groups were given priority during a part of the hiring process. Company prides itself on "no-silos" but in reality there was minimal communication between business divisions from my position's perspective. Managers and supervisors were often quite awful. They frequently did the absolute minimum to just keep things above water on the team. There was mostly no training or skills enrichment offered to me -- it felt like a dead end job. I would say the managers mostly only narrowly care about advancing their own careers and will do so at the expense of their employees. Do not expect much from your supervisors because they simply don't appear to care.
