Pros

Foosball and Ping Pong. Annual Ascential Conference if you were lucky.

Cons

British parent company Ascential micromanages the structure and salaries of all employees. There have been near constant on-and-off hiring and spending freezes. Salaries are low across the board unless you are in a management role. The brand and parent company CEO think low level employees don't deserve raises. HR did a horrible job of setting competitive salaries in Utah - "We took an average of the Western US and assumed Silicon Valley would skew us to be competitive" bahahah. Weak 401k and HSA matching. 1-2% cost of living raise each year with little opportunity for real pay raises. Hiring and even backfilling positions takes months due to the bureaucracy. Too many fingers in the pie with oversaturation of middle and upper management roles. Not to mention title inflation. Most of these managers weren't very qualified for their roles either. Management can't take criticism and does not respond to systemic issues being raised. They want to do the bare minimum to look successful. People on the ground are slowly being outsourced. Most operational roles are rote and boring, focusing on keeping the ship afloat. Everything is reactive. There is never enough time to be proactive and innovate. Its always "putting out fires." Leadership to support tole ratio leads to understaffed teams. No skills development, and you have to play politics and look successful to get a promotion. Communication is horrible. Both internally and externally. Processes and deadlines change without a peep. Roles and company structure change often with the revolving set of leadership. Leaders paint a rosy picture of success and are not held accountable. We always overpromise and underdeliver - if we deliver at all. Deadlines are constantly being pushed out by Product. Product releases have very obvious bugs. Some clients are seeing the writing on the wall and don't want to continue to pay for our overpriced services. And they wonder why morale and retention are so low. Every one is burnt out.

Pros

I’ve been at Edge for over two years now and I really like working here. I think my team is full of great people and I love the opportunities I have to pursue different kinds of projects with some of the worlds largest brands. Would recommend

Cons

Typical growing pains for a brand whose parent company is going through M&A and rebranding

Pros

This was a pretty good company to work for. Benefits were comparable to other tech companies but good.

Cons

They want through some layoffs when they were preparing to be sold.
