Pros
An Overview ========= I joined Egen Solutions not more than 2 months back, and it's been awesome working here. I've already worked on a couple of awesome projects ranging from AngularJS to Android development, and it's helping me grow a lot. The firm has a lot of projects coming up and always adding new clients which translates to a great future for the company. The interviews =========== This is the part which really showed me how serious Egen is when it comes to hiring new employees. I went through 1 Hacker-rank, 3 rounds of video coding interview and 4 rounds of on-site coding interviews. My interviews were mostly based on concepts of JS and Angular with some problem solving and CSS as well. Through these interviews, they will ask you a gamut of questions, and make sure that you know your stuff. Do not think this would be an easy firm to get into. Honestly, the difficulty of their hiring process is right up with any other top IT firm - which is what Egen aims to become as well. Great work ethic ============ The CEO of the firm, Mr. Raghu, embodies the work ethics that runs through everyone who works here. The firm is focused on delivering high quality products ONLY and nothing short of that will do. They want to do things better yet faster, and make sure that they provide a great experience to the customer as well. This is a lot of responsibility and you need to learn fast to be a top performer. There is no hand holding here, just hands-on work from Day 1. Not all work ========= With it's constant focus towards learning and quality work, one might think it leads to a lot of work pressure. While you might be engaged in multiple projects at once, it does boast a very fun environment as well. Everyone is very friendly and courteous. People are always eager to help you out if you need it. You might be a little weak at something, but there will always be someone who can help you out with it. Egen also holds a Happy Hour each Friday which always a good way to blow off steam and relax. Tech Stack ======== Egen has some serious tech stack. Everything from front-end techs like Angular, React, Gulp, Bower, Ionic, etc. to backend technologies like Ruby, Java and Node to complex database applications running on Elastic Search, Cassandra, etc. and more. All this with a ever-growing focus of moving away from monolith to micro-services. You will only work on state-of-the-art technologies here and learn to deliver quality code. Egen also follows a robust Git versioning workflow, with each PR getting reviewed by several experienced programmers to make sure no bugs/repetition exists in the code. Verdict ===== A great firm to work for, and great people to work with. 5/5
