Pros

None really comes to mind

Cons

Founders have moved on from Eightfold to other things. Co-founder & CEO is focused on career for women and Co-founder & CTO is disengaged as his replacement is hired. The spirit and soul of the company has died. A couple very strong people have left as well so there is very little life left in the company. Remaining of the company is Wild Wild West. Nobody is really trying to save this company, including investors. Implementing Eightfold is the worst possible job in the Software world. Really messed up architecture/ product portfolio that requires huge support and overhead for P&L. It's also a thankless job, taking all the beating but no rewards for any meaningful customer outcomes. Sales gets all the credit. Very top down culture. Either you are told what to do or you're expected of doing something to please the ultimate bosses. Also a very unstable company - priorities change everyday! No management rigor in anything done by this company. Sales is completely wild - sell whatever they can and then services team is put on the line to deliver.

This is Ashutosh, CEO at Eightfold. Yes, I have recently announced an initiative Laddrr. Helping with Laddrr cause - removing motherhood penalty on careers, is something close to my heart and something I am super proud of. We are about our mission and will keep doing a number of things to accelerate it. Does this interfere with my day job at Eightfold - absolutely not. My wife and family do take a toll though as I take time out from my family time. Happy to give you more color in person if helpful

Pros

As a recent hire, my onboarding experience has been surprisingly smooth. Like any high-growth technology company, there is definitely some "drinking from the fire hose" in the first few weeks, but that's largely because there is so much happening across the business. The team has been welcoming, supportive, and willing to invest time in helping new employees ramp up. What has stood out most is the company's vision and the pace of innovation. It feels like there is a constant stream of product announcements, new capabilities, and customer momentum. If you're someone who enjoys being close to emerging AI technology and wants to help shape the future rather than maintain the status quo, there's a lot to be excited about here. The people are smart, collaborative, and genuinely passionate about solving complex problems. There is also a strong sense of ownership and opportunity to make an impact regardless of tenure.

Cons

The pace is not for everyone. Priorities can move quickly as the company responds to market opportunities, and you should be prepared to learn fast and navigate some ambiguity. Having a proactive mindset is important.

Pros

They pay top dollar, but that comes at a cost of you working your butt off and still feeling like you might lose your job tomorrow.

Cons

Easily the worst company I have worked at. The foundational pieces of a culture from work life balance, basic psychological safety, opportunity to work with kind leaders who lead…were absolutely missing and lacking. From waking up to too many fire drill Slack messages, to working late at night, to being ridiculed by leadership, I can’t tell you how many horror stories I have gained. It’s truly sad because there are so many really good ICs and a couple fantastic leaders (but they couldn’t shift the culture alone). I am so happy I no longer work here. Not to mention the product was so aspirational to the extent that it was hard to tell what value was being received by customers. Churn was high and it is a miracle that customers stayed…The CS team worked endlessly to keep them. I actually feel horrible sharing all this, but I’m inclined to because unless it has made a complete 180 in the last year, this is not a place I’d ever recommend.
