Pros
Excellent training, must go to Miami Corporate Offices for 3 weeks, all expenses paid including training. Great furniture, easy to sell, with reasonable and non-negotiable pricing. I really liked my managers.
Cons
Your personal phone number is put on your business cards and you may get calls at all hours from customers. You must also keep your phone on after hours in case corporate wants to reach you. If you get a call from from a customer on your day off and they want to meet you at the store that day, ideally, you should go in or risk losing your customer to another associate who may not split the commission with you. Must follow customers around the showroom even if they don't want you to follow them on hard cement floors that are killer on your feet even if you wear orthotic pads in orthotic shoes. You can choose commission or salary, but still have to meet sales quotas with salary or risk getting let go. beware of sales associates who break rules, steal customers, or don't split sales to meet quotas. Every sales associate has to work all weekends with a possibility to get a weekend day off every 6 weeks or so. Commission salespeople have to work a 12 hour shift every other Saturday. I decided to leave because I'm not good at commission sales or meeting quotas, and I needed free time on my days off.
