Pros

Good Salary. Many bank branches to work with to get leads from. Decent training but it is a lot of information to digest at once.

Cons

Not very competitive product pricing to compete in the market with. At least that is what I was told by my bankers. Very high pressure. One merchant sale a day was expected. Bank relationships were difficult to build to generate leads because of the number of Elavon Reps the bank branches had seen in the previous 18 months. I was specifically told this by multiple branch managers. There is a lot of turnover in the position. At least in the territory I worked in. My manager was often angry and difficult to deal with. A bank branch manager I worked with informed me that many Elavon reps had left prior to me because of the way the manager spoke and dealt with them. Very disrespectful.

Pros

Strong environment for professional development and career growth. The organization provides ample opportunities to climb the ladder if you are proactive. I also believe the recent shift in leadership direction is a promising move toward the right future for the company.

Cons

The organization struggles with significant corporate bureaucracy and a siloed working environment, which leads to redundant projects and inefficient capital allocation. While the company pushes a 'total compensation' narrative, the liquid cash compensation and benefits packages—particularly health insurance flexibility—do not currently align with market standards. The lack of a cohesive product strategy remains a primary friction point for leadership.
