Pros

When you tell other people about your work, they think it's interesting, even if you do the same task over and over again every day.

Cons

Too many to count. Be prepared to make financial sacrifices - they might allude to the idea of salary adjustments, it likely will never happen and if it does, you won't have any say in the amount or percentage. The salary increases don't even cover the cost of inflation. Benefits and leave time are below the standard. Senior management does not regularly communicate with employees, when they do, it lacks professionalism and usually isn't very informative. The HR personnel truly struggle to communicate in English. It may be due to cultural differences, they usually come across as rude and the emails are not clear. They take weeks, sometimes months to acknowledge e-mails. There are no transparent processes around promotion, wages or benefits. Depending on who you work for, you may be subject to nasty messages on Skype.

Pros

Non-senior management employees are great people to work with.

Cons

1. Horrible management personnel. Employees are micromanaged, overworked, undervalued, and belittled by their managers. Even when grievances were aired about horrible management practices, no changes were made. Please stop rewarding managers who don't know how to respect employees. 2. Terrible company culture. Brown nosing is rewarded. Because HQ and a lot of counterparts are based in Asia, if you work in the U.S., you can assume that there will be an expectation for you to work round the clock. 3. Basics of Benefits and Payroll were poorly managed. I was in constant fear that my medical and dental benefits were not set up properly (or even potentially turned off) because my colleagues would go to the doctor and be told that their benefits were not set up correctly. One paycheck was even "accidentally" withdrawn from our bank accounts before - I can't even comprehend how something like that still happens in this day and age. 4. Not mission or values driven. Do not be claim to be passionate about supply chain transparency and improving the lives of factory workers when the bottom line is all about promoting projects that bring in the most income for the company.

Thank you for your feedback. We do have ambitions to grow and mature ELEVATE and disrupt the industry. We clearly fall short in some areas but the vision and commitment are there to be a great place to work. We definitely remember the incident related to payroll. Our third party service provider did miss a payment. That’s not good! Three of our own team members stayed up until 3am to ensure everyone was paid properly. It is our role to solve these problems and we’ve made significant improvements to HR and payroll processes. We want to make sure our third party service providers meet our expectations. We hope you’ll check back with us in the coming months so that you can be a proud you once worked here.
