Pros

WFH Amazing Direct Manager and Team

Cons

Leadership is completely disconnected from reality. They congratulate each other on how well things are going, without realizing that everything is broken, customers are frustrated, and teams are overwhelmed. When I left mid 2025, the implementation team was just two people, each juggling 30+ projects as well as the other duties assign to the team. On top of that, our closely aligned support team was replaced with an offshore group that provided little to no real support. Work became isolating and impossible. The company’s leadership is a revolving door. There’s a new CEO every year, and layers of VPs and managers, with very few people actually on the ground supporting customers. When concerns are raised, the response is that billable hours don’t justify new hires, even as employees are working evenings and weekends just to keep their heads above water. Leadership is overly focused on numbers to the point nothing else matters. The environment deteriorated to the point where every single implementation project manager on my team chose to walk away. I loved working at Lever when it was Lever. It’s disappointing to see how the product and teams have been mismanaged under Employ. For anyone thinking of joining their implementation team, be aware of what you’re walking into.

Pros

It is hard to come up with any. It's bleak.

Cons

The company has changed significantly, and working here has become increasingly difficult. After major layoffs and continued attrition, many remaining employees are carrying expanded workloads with less support, fewer experienced teammates, and unclear ownership across departments. Role expectations, compensation, and commission structures have also shifted in ways that have reduced earning potential. Commission changes for the year were not rolled out until the end of May, nearly five months into the year, which reflects a broader issue with planning, transparency, and accountability. Leadership often feels disconnected from both employees and customers. There does not seem to be a meaningful process for frontline feedback, and cross-functional work is frequently slowed by silos, unclear priorities, and top-down asks that do not reflect the realities of the work.
