Mass Layoffs - IT Helpdesk Analyst Envista Employee Review

Many departments are being completely outsourced and laid off. The CIO put together a presentation about how outsourcing will benefit the company, which really just came down to "it will save the company money" said 20 different ways. The expectation was that we were business as usual and to not tell others that we were being laid off. It then took them over a month to announce the layoffs to the rest of the company, where they lied and said they were keeping hundreds of employees to downplay the impact of these layoffs. The first question out of everyone's mouth when they learned was "Who do I need to talk to in order to keep you?" NOBODY thinks these layoffs are a good idea. Envista will soon be a completely outsourced organization and if you are currently working here, I would be VERY worried about how long it will be until you're the next expense they're looking to cut.
