Pros

If you vibe with the culture it's a great place. They care deeply about the customer, so every project, interaction, and exchange matters so we can drive positive outcomes for customers and patients. This means doing things the Epic way and being held accountable.

Cons

It can get cult-like and toxic unless you drink the kool-aid. Poor work life balance. Anything that goes wrong is your fault--even if it's due to the project, customer, other factors. Very little transparency around raises and performance. Your manager/TL does not have your best interest in mind. Unless you fit the Epic mold, it's best to get out sooner rather than later.

Pros

Impact: You are part of creating systemic level change for healthcare organizations. You get to be on site and work directly with providers and see how these changes impact their communities. People: Extremely smart and capable. I feel like I can rely on my team in a way I haven't at previous employers. New hires are entry level, so there's a strong community for people in a similar stage of life. Culture: Quirky but in a real, unique way. People are collaborative and celebrate shared accomplishments. The campus enshrines a very specific (and fun!) vibe. Location: Madison is awesome. Benefits: The health insurance is unparalleled. Sabbatical is a super cool perk too. Growth: A lot of autonomy and responsibility allows people to rise to the challenge. Stability: Solid industry, no lay-offs.

Cons

Remote work flexibility: 5 days a year
