Pros
-- I was able to pay my rent and student loans. -- I was a more attractive candidate to other tech companies outside of the healthcare IT industry.
Cons
-- I was overstaffed because they needed to maximize the efficient team members to compensate for the insufficient number of project managers who had already completed an install before. -- Transition from Junior PM to Senior PM was not accompanied by an adjustment to compensation to reflect increased workload and expectations. -- For me personally, it was a typical "light" week for me was 50-60 hours. -- I was repeatedly told I was exceeding expectations, but my raises and bonuses did not reflect the growth the company saw during COVID or compensate for hazard pay given expectation we return to office September 2021. -- Ultimately, I have opinions and ethics that differ from high-level leadership and these specifically happen to be non-negotiable for me. -- I saw my friends leaving for new jobs with other tech peers and was inspired by their newfound flexibility, support, and transparent communication. -- In my experience using the PTO that I was allotted was very difficult.
