Cons
Honest review Contractors ( which are asked not to be called contractors but they are) face significant micromanagement: you’re required to log metrics for every task, tracking analysis time per instrument and reporting daily work percentages. This feels dehumanizing. That said, it’s valuable entry-level experience if you have no industry background. My team was collaborative, but we were chronically understaffed with poor communication about priorities, which created constant overwhelm. Career growth is also opaque — there is no clear path to promotion or advancement to higher-level roles, which makes it difficult to plan long-term within the company. The reality: fifteen days holiday annually, minimal salary, repetitive lab work. Take this role only if you need a foot in the door and can tolerate rigid oversight.
