Corrupt Company - Anonymous employee Eurofins Employee Review

There is an excessive amount of harassment and bullying from other employees at the Petaluma workplace. Many employees do not follow company policies and do not understand anything about their job descriptions or the quality management system. They constantly interfered with my work and harassed me, thinking that they were my supervisor, personally insulted me on many occasions and made up rules about how I was to carry out my job responsibilities. I repeatedly reported to my team lead that my back was getting injured while carrying out my routine job duties, which included heavy lifting, repetitive motions,sitting and standing, et cetera. He first lied to me and said he would train someone to help me out, but only after he said that it was my fault because of my poor ergonomics technique and not because of the job itself. The second time he said: "Turn around times are going to be negatively effected, I'm not going to train anyone to replace you for your job duties." There is a lot of gossip and reputation slander that goes around this place. No one likes following rules, the majority always wins when they confront people for trying to be honest and people continue to be unsafe or mess things in the lab up for everyone else. Any form of a speak out policy is non-existent at this company, I was retaliated on for trying to enforce safety rules on several occasions. Management is incredibly inefficient at performing their jobs. The lean department does absolutely nothing to improve efficiency or quality in any of the lab processes. They created daily, weekly and many other unnecessary meetings, often times extending to a half hour for the daily meetings where people complain. They are big on analytic charts, showing key performance indicators and showing how much money the work place is losing. They constantly talk about 5S theory and repetitively describe the meaning behind it as well as sources of waste, without ever modifying the way the lab is setup or making anything more efficient. The manager lied to me at the layoff and said it was only for financial reasons, yet he immediately put up job advertisements for my replacement which I constantly saw while searching for new employment.
