Pros
- Flexible Schedule - Benefits - Work-life balance - On-site amenities (cafeteria, campus, child/adult daycare, etc) - Interesting work. You get to see the fruits of your labor directly. - Updated technology
Cons
- Poor organization of development strategies (we used a mixed up version of scrum that makes more work and stress than our old style of iterative development) - Poor on-boarding process (This was my first time at a lab like this, so the entire process was very deep and confusing to learn on my own. I feel that this should be something that is explained in their on-boarding process.) - Poor compensation - Manager doesn't keep track of commitments and promises. - On-site users, which means that you have people that call you with their problems instead of going through the ticketing system. - Open floor layout, which means constant distractions
