Pros
Fantastic department manager. There is always someone available to help when needed. Laboratory managers/supervisors actually know what they're doing and how to help in any department. Completely dedicated to following SOP's and making them better when needed. Managers always hand off the SOP's to the analysts that use them during annual SOP reviews to make sure all of the information is up to date. This made it very apparent that they actually respect the analysts and what they have to contribute.
Cons
Long hours. It was very rare to work less than 50 hours in a week. Upper management doesn't really know a thing about what we do in the lab or how long any given project will take to complete, so there were commonly TAT's far too short than was realistic.
