CNA, worst Job ever! - CNA Evergreen Healthcare Group Employee Review

Pros

The facility here in La Grande Oregon pays above average for a job that does not require a degree. However the tradeoff between salary and labor becomes too irrational. The work you do should be valued and compensated more than what is offered here.

Cons

The work atmosphere here is truly depressing. Nurses are constantly leaving for better jobs, the good CNAs that can afford to quit will do it. People that work here strive to do the bare minimum. The facility offers less incentives for workers to become productive. Team work is non existent, vicious gossips around the facility is the norm. Evidence of consistent racial discrimination from some employees are ignored. The good workers are over worked like slave mules. The lazy workers will complain and leave their share of work for the next coming shift. My review might seem biased. But if you are considering working here call the Hospital, or any facilities that know this place and ask them for a review. If they paint a much better picture, then best of luck.

Pros

One of the best parts of working as an Activity Assistant is seeing the smiles on my residents' faces. It's absolutely heartwarming and brings me so much happiness knowing I can make a positive difference in their day. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. ❤️

Cons

One of the hardest parts of working as an Activity Assistant is watching residents decline in health or lose their independence. It can be emotionally difficult to build close relationships and then experience loss. Some days are physically and mentally exhausting, but despite the challenges, being able to bring comfort, joy, and companionship to my residents makes it all worthwhile.
