Pros
Pros? That's a joke, right?
Cons
Toxic work environment, mostly from upper management who are passive aggressive at best, but some take the opportunity to harass and embarrass staff publicly and make your life a living Hell. Most have never grasped some basic manners such as not interrupting people or slamming things next to people. Some will gossip about "Employee A" to "Employee B" when it was never any of "Employee B's" business about what "Employee A" did. Management will also spread rumors around about employees to cause drama. Unsafe nurse to resident ratios and insane workloads. Underpaid. Benefits are extremely expensive. Understaffed. Under-trained. Nurses were involuntarily promoted overnight and given no orientation about how to fulfill their new roles. Nurses who have asked for help with something they don't know how to do are pretty much told they're on their own. CNAs don't have access to equipment they need to do their jobs. No real HR department available in the facility.
