      Get to know the residents and assist them with end of life care and try to make them as comfortable as possible.

      Cons

      - No training - Low pay - Job description isn't what they actually have you do - Unsafe conditions for residents (cockroaches, not enough staff) - Unsafe conditions for employees (asking a tiny female to life a 250 lb man with no training is unsafe) - Poor supervisor and some snotty co-workers

      Pros

      One of the best parts of working as an Activity Assistant is seeing the smiles on my residents' faces. It's absolutely heartwarming and brings me so much happiness knowing I can make a positive difference in their day. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. ❤️

      Cons

      One of the hardest parts of working as an Activity Assistant is watching residents decline in health or lose their independence. It can be emotionally difficult to build close relationships and then experience loss. Some days are physically and mentally exhausting, but despite the challenges, being able to bring comfort, joy, and companionship to my residents makes it all worthwhile.
