Pros

Didn't seem to be numbers driven. Care was important. Floor staff were hard working. Felt supported by regional clinical consultants and administrator. Decent pay and benefits.

Cons

Resources sometimes limited-but that is the norm in the skilled nursing industry

Pros

One of the best parts of working as an Activity Assistant is seeing the smiles on my residents' faces. It's absolutely heartwarming and brings me so much happiness knowing I can make a positive difference in their day. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. ❤️

Cons

One of the hardest parts of working as an Activity Assistant is watching residents decline in health or lose their independence. It can be emotionally difficult to build close relationships and then experience loss. Some days are physically and mentally exhausting, but despite the challenges, being able to bring comfort, joy, and companionship to my residents makes it all worthwhile.
