Pros
Work/Life Balance There are some very talented people
Cons
Pay is below industry average for IT Management and leadership are blind, refuse to work with each other/communicate Lots of higher ups have political agendas, don't really care about the client/end user and only focused on big projects that give them visibility resulting in overlap or duplication of efforts Lots of copy paste of mediocre/crap code Stack ranking-management refuses to acknowledge it but only 1-2 people under a team are going to get that promotion no matter how well you do Directors and above really like to throw people under the bus Lack of collaboration/innovation--they vouch for such a culture but rarely practice it. Instead of promoting each other, lots of teams do not embrace it. Frat boy culture - beware, especially if you are a female in IT. Definitely seen some sexual harassment borderline lawsuits occur.
