Pros
- 401k match - remote work - free CEUs provided - clinical managers try to support the SLPs - relatively low paperwork burden - iPads and computer provided - resources for client education
Cons
- management intentionally misrepresents company-wide changes as positive when they lower therapist compensation, make it more difficult to acquire and use PTO, or reduce employee benefits. - unethical practices - SLPs who do not support unethical practices have been pushed out - immature / petty conduct from upper level management - difficult to get support help for client issues - lack of transparency (while they reiterate how transparent they are) - Expressable treats the client poorly due to disorganization or incompetence, and the SLPs are left to pick up the pieces - low compensation, especially for anything that is not face-to-face time with the client - high turnover - rigid scheduling that is not conducive to work-life balance - micromanagement - undisclosed internal metrics of SLP performance - very little recognition of employee's positive contributions - heavy focus on cost cutting - they don't follow their own written policies
