The best part about working for Extra Space Storage as a Store Manager is management has a lot of respect for their front-line employees and you work by yourself a good amount of time. The pay is respectable, and the benefits are excellent. Extra Space Storage hires a better quality of employees versus other storage companies so most of the employees are a joy to work with at the site. The company has a monthly incentive pay out and the Store Manager gets a larger portion of the money. Real incentive to become a Store Manager. The hours are not too early and not too late. (9:30 am - 6:00 pm M-F & 9:00 am - 5:30 pm on Sat.) My District Manager tries to work with personal schedules for days off within reason, but the business needs must come before personal preferences. I personally like having a day off during the week. Management supports your decisions when you are doing the right thing by the company and the customer. This is the best company I have ever worked for in my life and I have been employed with several large corporations, such as Bellsouth, Verizon Wireless, Bank of America, Wachovia Bank, LGE Community Credit Union, Chase Bank.
