Pros

Good pay, Yearly bonuses for every salaried position, to my knowledge, there are higher bonuses for the higher position titles or different jobs example an Account engineer would be in a higher bonus bracket then a field engineer I, II, and senior, though i think senior may be in a higher bonus bracket, You are pretty much guaranteed a raise each year, this could vary on your manager/position, Company provided vehicle, you pay a small monthly fee but they cover gas, insurance, and maintenance! You can use it for personnel travel as much as you want, and it is all covered by the company!, Company provided pension plan, & 401(k) w/ 6% match, There could be additional pro's but they vary with the job title

Cons

You are required to travel, but this is estimated around 25-75% depending on your position, there could be weekend travel again this varies with position, example claims and field engineer positions may have occasional weekend travel, management can be VERY micro manage-y, there also some position titles that require weekend work this is because saturdays and sundays still count against your timeliness, you dont have to work, but it can become an issue when they track your metrics some managers may be more serious about this than others,

Pros

* Great business model at the foundation * Solid compensation program: Base salary + bonus * Sustained high profitability over the long term * Stable employement * Pension Plan

Cons

* Extremely hierarchical and regimented * Promotions based on favortism rather than true merit. Employees are precategorized and stigmatized on their ability for future career progression. * Extremely focused on metrics and internal objectives. This leads to box checking, cutting corners and bending rules to meet the numbers. * Extremely heavy workload. No work-life balance. * Management doesn't really incorporate employee feedback; they pretend to to check a box. * Quality of job suffers to keep up with quantity. Everything is becoming data driven and the data is often wrong. Enormous pressure to hit a button and accept at face value whatever the system spews out. * Our CEO builds fancy gold plated office buildings that aren't needed and pulled the plug on hybrid work to justify the investment in the real estate.
