Pros
Benefits are on par with similar professional jobs, much better than would usually be available for many administrative or non- technical positions. There is a pension, but you pay for it in salary. 6% @ 100% 401k match. Good work atmosphere. Employees believe in the company, and we have a really good product to sell. Sincere focus on inclusion and diversity, but these are newer initiatives. These will pay dividends but haven’t had time to make significant impact yet. Emphasis on ‘Yet’
Cons
Pay is comparatively low. This is supposedly offset by the pension/good 401k which are more or less a Golden chain. Company ‘quietly spoken’ rule is if you ever leave you won’t be welcome back Promotions within roles are arbitrary and not laid out with known timing or published criteria.
