Pros

Great work environment, awesome coworkers, really making a difference in patient's lives, Have free access to medbridge continuing education. Bank system is great, when you work over your quota you can bank the units or if you are low you have time to make it back. as far as documentation, it doesn't take me long because I do point of service (all therapists are supposed to be doing this, but do not). Also staff meetings are paid, you are paid a stipend which covers the cost of your meetings.

Cons

My director had no visits for me, but I had to lose bank which is not really fair. They wouldn't let my bank go negative which was nice; but I lost 100 units due to weeks that had no visits. Bank should be for cancellations, but not if you don't have visits; especially if you have been telling RD for weeks that you have discharges coming. When visits are low, they want you to call all your old patients to try to get them back on caseload. In some cases I really feel this is unethical, as many of these people know their exercises, they are just not doing them. If there are no/low visits in your area, you have to drive further to get visits which increases the hours of your day. My director gave away part of my coverage area and when I asked him about it, he said he didn't (hmm...the therapists talk so we know where people are working). My director keeps hiring more therapists but many of us are struggling for visits and he doesn't seem concerned (guess its not his bank so he doesn't care). I had a different RD who was much better than this one. Some of the employees tried to go to his boss with similar complaints and his boss never addressed complaints. Meanwhile, we have turned over almost our whole team since he took over. And I am seriously thinking of leaving because I am so tired of struggling to find visits and driving further so I can make my quota, so I get home later and later to my family

As you probably remember from orientation, I discuss with all of the clinicians and employees I work with about our policy of Team Spirit that things should go right. Things have not gone completely right for you, and I want to help. Please reach out to me directly at tim.fox@foxrehab.org or on my cell which is on the directory. I would like the chance to speak with you and assist you. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to your clients and our practice. Sincerely, Dr. Tim Fox, PT, DPT, GCS, Founder & CEO

Pros

The biggest pros are the flexibility and autonomy. Being able to create my own schedule has greatly improved my work-life balance, and I appreciate being able to treat patients closer to home. FOX also provides a lot of resources and support for its clinicians. From continuing education opportunities to clinical guidance and helpful treatment resources, I always feel like I have what I need to provide quality patient care.

Cons

One challenge with home care is that last-minute patient cancellations do happen, which can leave unexpected gaps in your day. However, because of the flexible scheduling, it’s usually easy to reschedule those visits later in the week, making it much easier to stay on track with patient care.
