Pros

Flexible scheduling of patients, however,no you are expected to work a lot of overtime without pay. I worked with some good therapists, but we all had similar experiences of bullying from management.

Cons

This was the worst company I have ever worked for. I notice that my review keeps disappearing, I will continue to rewrite it, as I believe this company is awful and therapists deserve to know that it is best to steer clear of wasting time with this place. There is a lot of bullying to participate in working on your own time for free including traveling to meetings in which you are not paid. This is unlawful, according to the EEOC and Department of Labor, all mandatory a to it's required by an employer are to be compensated. You are also not reimbursed for gas mileage and the hourly rate is far below competitors. Again, you are only compensated by unit, and all other activities are on your own time donated to the company for free, and expected. Unethical practices are encouraged to maintain your caseload including seeing people regardless of whether or not they decline services or are appropriate for care , which is against the AOTA code of ethics, as patients have a right to refuse care. Billing Medicare for inappropriate patients is akin to fraud, and I was very uncomfortable putting my license on the line to make Mr Fox more money. Terrible sick/inclement weather policies had people driving through ice in unsafe conditions and being forced to work overtime instead of taking PTO when sick. They are really awful. Too bad they are having honest negative reviews deleted, but rest assured there are many people who will give you the truth to save someone else the trouble of dealing with an unprofessional atmosphere.

FOX Rehabilitation Response

Hello there, We want to approach this matter first: We are 100 percent, absolutely compliant with EEOC, the Department of Labor and AOTA’s Code of Ethics. Our number one priority is our people. We believe that happy well-trained clinicians make good healthcare. We believe in our people – allowing them the autonomy to facilitate and provide clinically excellent care to our community with compassion and respect. This could not be done in the workplace you’ve described. As you allude to, we give our clinicians the autonomy to manage their schedule and treat their clients as they see fit, backed by clinical evidence and sound documentation. We have zero tolerance for anything that impedes that. We do want to hear the full details of the story. If you have a moment please call our HR team at 877-407-3422. We thank you for the time you’ve spent with FOX and wish you the best heading forward. Truly, Liam McKenna and the FOX Rehabilitation team P.S.- Glassdoor does not allow companies to delete reviews – even if they are inaccurate or defamatory. We just can’t do it. Additionally, they will not post reviews that do not meet their regulations. If your review was taken down, it was done by Glassdoor not FOX.

Pros

The biggest pros are the flexibility and autonomy. Being able to create my own schedule has greatly improved my work-life balance, and I appreciate being able to treat patients closer to home. FOX also provides a lot of resources and support for its clinicians. From continuing education opportunities to clinical guidance and helpful treatment resources, I always feel like I have what I need to provide quality patient care.

Cons

One challenge with home care is that last-minute patient cancellations do happen, which can leave unexpected gaps in your day. However, because of the flexible scheduling, it’s usually easy to reschedule those visits later in the week, making it much easier to stay on track with patient care.
