Cons

Before I accepted the position at Fox, I read the reviews on this website and I should have followed my intuition. The negative reviews are 100% accurate and I witnessed it all firsthand during my time at Fox. If you are looking for a position on the business operations side, you should reconsider. Management makes promises they never fulfill - Training was promised multiple times, not just for my position, but cross training for other positions in my department and I never received it. - After anticipating a promotion for over six months, and was promised several times I would advance for my hard work and dedication, it never transpired Management does not care about your growth with the organization – don’t expect a raise or a promotion unless you work on the clinical side. They will spend more money on hiring someone unqualified for the position then promoting from within the company. There is absolutely no communication and no teamwork. No one in the department knew what others were working on and a majority of them were not willing to help others when it was needed. In fact, some were territorial over their work and would not train, even if it meant decreasing the workload to help out the entire department. Management would place paperwork on my desk and walk away without saying a single word or explaining the work. There was always miscommunication. Supervisors lack management and leadership skills. They don’t know the first thing about leading a department, working as a team, or handling conflicts. It is inconceivable how they attained the positions they are in. You are underappreciated. My hard work and dedication to the organization was overlooked. After all the unpaid overtime I worked during my nights and weekends, in the end it did not matter to management. I went above and beyond especially compared to others in my department that spent their entire day browsing the internet while I was actually doing my job.

Pros

The biggest pros are the flexibility and autonomy. Being able to create my own schedule has greatly improved my work-life balance, and I appreciate being able to treat patients closer to home. FOX also provides a lot of resources and support for its clinicians. From continuing education opportunities to clinical guidance and helpful treatment resources, I always feel like I have what I need to provide quality patient care.

Cons

One challenge with home care is that last-minute patient cancellations do happen, which can leave unexpected gaps in your day. However, because of the flexible scheduling, it’s usually easy to reschedule those visits later in the week, making it much easier to stay on track with patient care.
