Pros

Large budget for slick advertisement about how wonderful their company is. Well paid and rewarded upper level management that maintain that persona to the public. Lots of educational opportunities if you ever have time off to take advantage of them

Cons

poor personnel policies regarding their quota of visits. all community visits are the same as sitting at a facility and seeing 6.5 visits a day. all cancellations, whatever the reason are the therapist's fault. If you do not meet your quota you accrued time off is subtracted until you have no time off or owe them at the end of the year. I worked almost 4 years with no more than a few 3 or 4 day weekends 6 times over 3 years. Finally the area and regional managers are not put in positions of authority due to their management skill or experience but by how much they agree with the personnel policies of Fox Rehab. and are willing to carry them out no matter how unfair and illegal they are. Those policies vary from manager to manager and staff member to staff member. you can be treated very differently from the other people on your team regarding time off, salary and advancement opportunities but when you find out , it is denied or you are reprimanded or are asked to leave the company. In short, management is dishonest , but wraps themselves in a separation agreements that prevent you from pursuing their dishonesty and discrimination legally after you leave the company . These cons are only the tip of the iceberg. Before going to work at Fox Rehab look every where else first.

FOX Rehabilitation Response

I'm so sorry that you did not have a good experience with us. FOX Rehab does work hard to advertise our services so that we have a presence that we can be seen by the individuals that would benefit from our care the most. Word of mouth from patients that have had strong clinical outcomes have also been an important way we grow as a practice. It is important for FOX to reach the public in these ways because we do not have a traditional brick and mortar presence. FOX clinicians are hired with an expectation to perform a certain number of visits on a weekly basis. We perform market analysis to be sure we are able to support a clinician prior to hiring. Also, we have a dedicated Account Manager that works to increase referrals by visiting physician offices to tell them about the services we provide. FOX has a dedicated quality assurance team members in each treatment territory to be sure our clinicians are delivering care that is clinically appropriate and ethical at all times. Our Regional Directors are all clinicians that were once in the full time treating role themselves. They are always trained to treat employees with respect and dignity just as our mission statement calls for. If at any time our employees feel mistreated they are highly encouraged to reach out to senior leadership, HR staff, and or quality assurance staff that is readily available. Yes, you are correct that we sort through Glassdoor reviews to show that we care about past and current employees thoughts and concerns. This is a useful way for us to make improvements to the practice moving forward.

Pros

The biggest pros are the flexibility and autonomy. Being able to create my own schedule has greatly improved my work-life balance, and I appreciate being able to treat patients closer to home. FOX also provides a lot of resources and support for its clinicians. From continuing education opportunities to clinical guidance and helpful treatment resources, I always feel like I have what I need to provide quality patient care.

Cons

One challenge with home care is that last-minute patient cancellations do happen, which can leave unexpected gaps in your day. However, because of the flexible scheduling, it’s usually easy to reschedule those visits later in the week, making it much easier to stay on track with patient care.
