Pros

Assistance from Regional Director, positive attitude and friendly staff.

Cons

There should be 2-4 days of inclement weather days off for clinicians worked into the financial budget. Tim Fox could determine when we can use one of these days off so we don't have to use our vacation days or work on a Sat or Sunday or risk our lives/cars going out on a bad day. Having a policy of "well you have 7 days a week so make it up on the weekends or add a few hrs to another 9 or 10 hour day," is not good for staff morale. If Tim and the financial dept would put in 4 days into the budget, if only 2-3 days are used, there would be additional income into the company. Valuing your clinicians as individuals with other life commitments who may need to be home at 5-6 pm and no one ever wants an 8 am appt and if you can't make up the time on the weekends because of family commitments you shouldn't have to use a vacation day if there are two ft of snow outside!!

Pros

The biggest pros are the flexibility and autonomy. Being able to create my own schedule has greatly improved my work-life balance, and I appreciate being able to treat patients closer to home. FOX also provides a lot of resources and support for its clinicians. From continuing education opportunities to clinical guidance and helpful treatment resources, I always feel like I have what I need to provide quality patient care.

Cons

One challenge with home care is that last-minute patient cancellations do happen, which can leave unexpected gaps in your day. However, because of the flexible scheduling, it’s usually easy to reschedule those visits later in the week, making it much easier to stay on track with patient care.
