Pros

Good coworkers and patients were obviously great to work with

Cons

Poor regional managers No work/life balance Unrealistic quotas WARNING: do not work for this company if you care about work/life balance whatsoever. It is unrealistic productivity expectations at an average of 6.5 (one hour) visits per day. They will not consider all the time spent driving from home to home, phone calls, documentation, etc. nor reimburse for mileage. They want you to hit a set number of units per week and if you do not you start losing PTO to literally pay them back for the units you failed to hit. Do not let managers or recruiters trick you into thinking otherwise. I absolutely loved homecare before this job and it made me dread going to work daily knowing I had to absolutely hustle to meet a quota and not give patients proper time/care.

Pros

The biggest pros are the flexibility and autonomy. Being able to create my own schedule has greatly improved my work-life balance, and I appreciate being able to treat patients closer to home. FOX also provides a lot of resources and support for its clinicians. From continuing education opportunities to clinical guidance and helpful treatment resources, I always feel like I have what I need to provide quality patient care.

Cons

One challenge with home care is that last-minute patient cancellations do happen, which can leave unexpected gaps in your day. However, because of the flexible scheduling, it’s usually easy to reschedule those visits later in the week, making it much easier to stay on track with patient care.
