Pros

Up to date with Medicare regulations, “flexibility” with schedule

Cons

Where do I begin? They sell you flexibility from the start, they want you to be a “Fox fit” employee, but what does that REALLY mean? Meeting the highest of high expectations; taking hours of work home, attending unpaid meetings, unpaid travel and taking your PTO or going into a negative bank for uncontrolled cancellations from patients, all while keeping a grand smile on your face. This company is a hole that only gets deeper with time. Please do not take this position if offered. If I could go back, I would have never taken it.

FOX Rehabilitation Response

Let’s begin with what makes FOX unique and the foundation of our flexibility: Our clinicians are salaried professionals. Seeing six to seven clients per day is quite conservative compared to other practices. We understand that productivity expectations are evident across health care. We believe our system works as we continue to make documentation and all areas of treatment more efficient and better communicate about our total benefits structure. As for taking PTO and negative bank, our clinicians have a calendar year to make up cancelations. To address your closing remarks, there are great clinicians everywhere throughout our disciplines. Plenty are a fit for FOX and thrive with us. Others are not, and that’s alright, but it doesn’t equate to us not valuing happy, well-trained clinicians. From refining our EHR, offering more benefits, increasing transparency, and having better communication, we are 100 percent dedicated to constantly making our practice better for you. Because of this, some clinicians who’ve left have returned and we’ve welcomed them back with open arms. We would almost certainly do the same for you. In the meantime, we wish you the absolute best!

Pros

The biggest pros are the flexibility and autonomy. Being able to create my own schedule has greatly improved my work-life balance, and I appreciate being able to treat patients closer to home. FOX also provides a lot of resources and support for its clinicians. From continuing education opportunities to clinical guidance and helpful treatment resources, I always feel like I have what I need to provide quality patient care.

Cons

One challenge with home care is that last-minute patient cancellations do happen, which can leave unexpected gaps in your day. However, because of the flexible scheduling, it’s usually easy to reschedule those visits later in the week, making it much easier to stay on track with patient care.
