Pros

FactSet is not really a small company but it maintains a small company culture in which the goal is more important than appearance. You get the opportunity to participate in product development quite early, meaning that you can find your work reflected in the application within months of joining. At the same time colleagues and management are very willing to share knowledge, which makes it a straight forward task to do a good job.

Cons

Beginning salaries are generally low and the office environment can be somewhat noisy making it difficult to concentrate at times.

Pros

Work from home 3-4 days a weeks

Cons

Senior Management is Akin to a Sorority or Fraternity. They are treated exceptionally well and are shameless in their pursuits of recognition. Forced socialization - whether or not you participate in company events is part of your performance reviews. It's not enough to be a friendly, helpful coworker DEI Disgrace - millions and millions of dollars spent on making sure the wrong people are in the wrong job. But hey, they're the right ethnicity! Forced volunteering - another part of your annual review. They give you time off to volunteer at a company-sponsored event. But if you are the type who likes to just do your job, go home, and find life's satisfaction elsewhere, don't join Factset!
