Pros
- Excellent work-life balance, flexible schedule, culture is remote-first and family-friendly. - Generous healthcare benefits, unlimited PTO, understanding about taking medical or personal leave. - High-quality trainings, like career development workshops, cultural celebrations. - Growing I&D efforts. - Solid attempt to take action on stated corporate values. - CEO is accessible, listens, and cares sincerely about employees. - Very kind and talented people.
Cons
- Very disorganized with immature processes across the board. This led to no alignment, no cohesive strategy, shifting priorities, and no ability to execute on goals. - Slow, bureaucratic, "decision-by-committee" approach to most initiatives. - Compensation is far below the market rate and dictated by opaque levels/salary bands. - Promotions *seemed* to be more tied to years of experience, versus merit and contributions. Despite asking HR and my chain of command, it was impossible to get coherent guidance on career paths.
