Pros
Fastly is working to accomplish some exciting transformations and current leadership is providing clear, if unrealistic, goals.
Cons
Fastly has been going through a huge upheaval of change in the last 2.5yrs, especially in its executive leadership team. I suspect that's a combination of people being managed out and voluntarily leaving because they don't support the current leadership. I have first hand knowledge of a couple people being managed out in spite of strong performance history and no clear reasons as to why (e.g. they re-hired the roles so it wasn't a budget savings). In conversations with my chain of command, it was clearly stated that employees are considered easily replaceable. There's little credence given to the wealth of knowledge an employee might have and the financial and time costs for bringing new staff up to speed. While Fastly's current leadership communicates clear goals they aren't providing the support, resources or infrastructure necessary for teams to realistically meet those goals. All of this has tainted what has been a great company culture. Employee's are scared, angry and confused.
