Pros

The best thing about this place is realizing that it sets the bar for the worst, giving you a point of comparison to appreciate other companies. It also offers 401k matching and remote work.

Cons

If you are reading this a currently working at Scorpion, Ryno/Blue Corona or any other agency and think this place is a lifeboat out, then you are in for a rude awakening. On the surface, it looks like the acquisition in July created a lot of the company’s problems, but all it did was shine a light on all of its preexisting issues. These include but are not limited to micromanagement, lack of trust, poor communication, favoritism, high turnover, excessive workload, lack of recognition, unclear expectations, fear based leadership, bullying, lack of growth opportunities, poor work-life balance, passive-aggressive behavior, inconsistent policies, toxic positivity, lack of accountability, unethical behavior, low morale, burnout, lack of support, unrealistic expectations, fear of retaliation, exclusion, nepotism, no transparency, and employee gaslighting. Currently, upper management is focused on closing as many sales as possible with no interest in increasing resources. This may be to make the company more profitable before a future sale. However, this approach leaves employees across all departments handling far too many clients, forcing them to work 10+ hour days and catch up on weekends. It is a miracle that client work gets completed at all. When expectations aren’t met, the blame game begins, and unfortunately, the results suffer. The employees communicating with clients bear the brunt of the workload, leading them to deflect issues during calls and steer conversations away from the fact that work isn’t getting done. Something that is reflected in the results. One of my biggest regrets in life will be working for this place. Learn from my mistake and run.

Pros

Fully remote, competitive salaries, company bonus plan, benefits, 401K with matching, employee rewards, 20+ days PTO This is the best agency I have worked at. Management works to reward employees through salaries/bonuses and benefits/perks and offers more than similar-sized agencies do. They expect you to work hard and hustle, which is exactly what you'd expect in a growth stage company but they are always working to add resources and streamline processes to make work life easier. There are so many smart people with great attitudes that are truly willing to help you out with anything you need, even if not in their own department. Behind the scenes, management listens to and considers feedback, even if they can't address or fix immediately. The company continues to exceed growth goals and increase in team size and revenue.

Cons

Management could communicate more ahead of time what upcoming plans are so that employees know that concerns are being addressed. The agency is in a growth stage, which is typically messy as there are still processes to be added or updated, more resources needed, and restructuring of departments and roles. But a growth stage company also means more opportunity as new roles and leadership roles get added. If you're not up for the challenges and hard work of a growth stage company (that comes with rewards for those that work hard and keep a positive attitude), then you may want to choose a larger company to work for.
